3 Months Old

Colt is 3 Months Old Today! Time is going by quick, but we are enjoying every second of every day with him! Lately Colt has been reaching for objects and really getting to know his hands. He is full of smiles and giggles these days if you couldn't tell by the video below! His Daddy can really get him going!

We are still eating every 3-3.5 hrs. Our last feeding is around 10:00 PM then night night until around 7:00 AM if we are Lucky! Some mornings start as early as 5:00, but I'll take it...then we just go back to bed until 8:00!

Colt's first Camping Trip

Last weekend we took Colt on his first camping trip to Lake Cypress outside of Winnsboro! We had a great time. Ronnie and Paula were so sweet to let us use their new camper trailer to stay in.... No, we did not sleep in a tent with our little guy :) It was a fun relaxing weekend enjoying the fresh Spring air! Colt loved being outside and it was nice to get away from our everyday routine! Jake's cousin Lance and his wife Caren and son Carson joined us. Lolly and Pops also got to get away and hang out with us!

Colt's First Road Trip

Last weekend we made our first trip to League City with Colt! We had such a great weekend visiting everyone. We made a stop in Kingwood on our way in so Colt could finally meet his buddy Max. It was great seeing Nick and Marita too!

Saturday we spent the day at Sheldon and Lynsey's house. Nana got to spend the day with her great grandchildren and Gigi and Kandy had fun too!

Sunday we spent the afternoon at Gigi and Poppie's. It was a beautiful day and Colt enjoyed soaking up some of the ocean air. The Stock's and the Hacker's came to visit Mr. Colt. What a great weekend!

Colt is 2 Months Old

Wow, time is flying by! Our little guy is already 2 Months old! We had our checkup with Dr. Melton yesterday and Colt did not like it! The shots were aweful...He cried his little eyes out and put himself to sleep. When he woke up at 12:30 he was not a happy camper. I gave him some Tylonol and after sleeping all afternoon, he seemed to be better by evening.

Our sleeping through the night is getting better! I'll feed him at 10:00 and we don't hear from him until 4:00 AM! One night he even stretched it to 5:30! This was amazing for Mommy! This morning we woke up at 4:15, ate, then went back to bed until 8:00! I got 8 hrs of sleep and feel wonderful Today! Colt is full of smiles and is even laughing!

GiGi and Poppie Come to Tyler

This past weekend, Gigi and Poppie came in town to visit! We had a fun weekend and the weather was beautiful! We were able to sit outside with Colt and let him look up at the sky. Gigi got to to change a million diapers and burp Colt after each feeding! It was great having my Mom around to help! One night I fed Colt at 7:00, prepared a bottle for her to give him at 10:00 and I went to bed! Of course I woke up at 10:00 ready to feed again! It's crazy how your body just gets into a routine and tells you it's time to feed your baby!

We are looking forward to our first road trip to League City in 2 weeks!

Look Who's Smiling!

At 6 1/2 Weeks, Colt gave us his first big SMILE!! It just melts your heart when you see the twinkle in his eyes! Every day is so much fun with him! Even at

4:00 AM we are smiling at each other and who would have ever thought I'd be smiling at that hour :) He is so sweet and we are so lucky to have such a

happy baby!

Great Aunt's Come to Visit

This past weekend, Gigi, Aunt Kandy and Aunt Debby all came to visit us! It was so much fun having them here! Colt loved meeting his Great Aunts and seeing his grandma GiGi.

Friends come to Visit

Courtney, Zach and James came down a couple weekends ago to meet Colt! The weather ended up being bad and they got to spend the night with us! It was so fun to finally have the boys together. I am so glad they were able to stay and spend more time with us! Courtney and I have been talking about this day for a long time and now it is here! We have been best friends since 4th grade and now to both be Mommy's is so Crazy! It will be so much fun having the boys close in age as they get older!

Danielle and Bentley also came to visit us!!! I had such a fun afternoon hanging out with Danielle! She was so sweet to come spend the day with us! We had our first trip to Target and our first ride in the stroller when she was here! Look at us with both boys in the basket, sooo fun!

Life with Colt

I love being a Mommy! It has been so much fun these last 3 weeks having Colt in our lives! I can't describe how sweet it is holding him in my arms and realizing we created this little bundle of joy! Jake just can't get enough! He has been such a helpful Daddy! He loves to burp Colt after I feed him and is great at changing diapers too! He comes home for lunch everyday and can't wait to get his hands on him when he walks in the door. Our days include sleeping, eating and pooping :) We have gotten into a pretty good routine of eating every 3 hours. I am breast feeding and it is the most amazing thing how God created women! After Colt eats, he usually is awake for a little while and this is when he is the cutest! He'll just kick his legs and look all around. The nights haven't been too rough. I'll feed Colt at 10:00 and then swaddle him all up and put him in his crib. On a good night, the next feeding has been falling around 3:00 am and then rise and shine, 7:00 he's ready to eat again! The 3:00 feeding isn't too bad, but that 7:00 AM comes early! I keep saying I am going to stay awake after I feed him, but every morning Colt and I end up snuggling on the couch together until it's time to eat again at 10:00. No complaining here... my favorite time with my son :)
